Delphi Survey of Items for the Test of Stuttering Screening in Children (TSSC)

Purpose: Stuttering is a fluency disorder that mostly begins in childhood and affects many people our societies. No standardized screening tools are available to check for stuttering the Indian school-going population. Thus, study aimed at developing tool identify children who stutter among population using Delphi-based approach. Methods: This was carried out four phases. During first phase, five Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) were asked about need nature & attributes of test children. The second phase involved constructing appropriate stimuli based on expert opinion, relevant literature students’ academic textbooks. third content validation speech elicitation by teachers, SLPs an English Lecturer teaching university. fourth encompassed development differential diagnosis criteria identification rank analysis opinions. Results: A comprising age, language culture-specific reading, picture description narration tasks 1 st 10 th -standard students developed. contents obtained satisfactory consensus agreement panel experts.
